To tap into the world of esports and the NBA, we transformed the visual system of the basketball court to capture the competition and history of basketball, its players and fans. The free-throw and three-point lines informed a visual language that allowed us to build upon NBA2K’s popularity with added video game iconography of consoles and controllers. Our fonts and overall design function to emphasize the athletic energy and intensity of a game made for everyone.
