The New York Art Fairs Spring 2016: Art communicates a message, celebrates beauty and craft, connects us on the deepest emotional levels. With nearly a dozen art fairs this past weekend in the city, the ThoughtMatter crew made sure to get out and get personal with the work. Below are the highlights: the new, the next and the bizarre.

VOLTA NY
 

“VOLTA NY is the invitational fair of solo artist projects and is the American incarnation of the original Basel VOLTA show, which was founded in 2005 by three art dealers as a fair “by galleries, for galleries”.”
